Acetal
These are polyacetal (POM) grades. Copolymer grades (POM-C) tend to be more resistant against hydrolysis, strong alkalis and thermal-oxidative degredation than the homopolymer grades. The homopolymer grades (POM-H, also refered to as Delrin) have a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and creep resistance as well as a lower thermal expansion rate and often it also presents a better wear resistance.
AI International supply various grades of Acetal and Delrin and are official distributors for the Ertacetal range.
Ertacetal C
(Colours: Natural (White), Black) -now also available in colours.
This is the Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products’ virgin copolymer acetal grade. The acetal copolymer is more resistant against hydrolysis, strong alkalis and thermal-oxidative degradation than the acetal homopolymer.

Ertacetal H
(Colours: Natural (White), Black)
Ertacetal H (POM H) has higher mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and creep resistance, as well as a lower thermal expansion rate and often it also presents a better wear resistance than the acetal copolymer grade.

Ertacetal H-TF
(Colours: Brown only)
Ertacetal H-TF is a Delrin AF Blend, a combination of teflon fibres evenly dispersed in a homopolymer acetal resin. Much of the strength that is inherent in Delrin is retained. Some properties change due to the addition of teflon fibre which is softer, less stiff and more slippery than virgin acetal resin. Compared with Ertacetal C and Ertacetal H, this material offers superior sliding properties. Bearings made of this material show low friction, long wear and are essentially free of stick-slip behaviour.

Railko PV80
(Colours: Black only)
Railko PV80 is an acetal copolymer with mineral oil encapsulated in micro-pockets throughout the material. This structure ensures controlled self lubrication for life; good friction and wear values combined with good dimensional stability and low swell.

POM ESd (Semitron 225)
(Colours: Beige only)
Semitron ESd 225 is an acetal based static dissipative material ideal for material handling applications. It avoids discharge problems for parts intended for human contact.
Semitron ESd 225 is also an excellent choice for fixturing used for handling in-process silicon wafers or used in the manufacturing of sensitive electronic components including hard disk drives and circuit boards.
