Polyacetal
Acetals, Image courtesy of Quadrant EPPThese are polyacetal grades manufactured by Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products. Copolymer grades tend to be more resistant against hydrolysis, strong alkalis and thermal-oxidative degredation than the homopolymer grades. The homopolymer grades (also refered to as Delrin) have a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and creep resistance as well as a lower thermal expansion rate and often it also presents a better wear resistance.

Main Characteristics
High mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness
Excellent resilience
Good creep resistance
High impact strength, even at low temperatures
Very good dimensional stability (low water absorption)
Good sliding properties and wear resistance
Excellent machinability
Good electrical insulating and dielectric properties
Physiologically inert (suitable for food contact)
Not self-extinguishing

Select Grade:
